Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute Of Vocational And Advanced Technology, Lokoja Completes Requirements For Full Accreditation

The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Lokoja is to get full accreditation of it’s courses soon.

This was announced during the visit of staff of the National Board of Technical Education ( NBTE) to the institute to access the level of preparedness for accreditation of courses in the institution.

The team who visited various departments of the vocational training, said that the school has enough equipment to be fully accredited to enable youths obtain different skills to become self reliance.

Addressing the staff’s of the Institute, the team lead, Engineer Jafaar Garba said the school has great future that can improve on the vocational advancement of the country .

Engineer Jafaar appealed to youths in Kogi State to enroll in vocational skills and stop waiting for white collar jobs .

He described Kogi State as one of the most lucky state amongst the commity State in the Federation which other country like KOICA could come to invest and equip the school with facilities.

Engineer Jafaar also advised the kogi State government to continue to fund the institution which would be of benefits to the younger generation to acquire technical knowledge that will make them self reliant.

He also enjoined the state government to look into the possibility of expanding the institute.

In a remark, the Provost of the Institute, Doctor Charles William -Oluwatoyin praised Governor Yahaya Bello for his support which has ensured smooth running of academic sessions of the institute.

Doctor Charles noted that if the institution is fully accredited it would create avenue of training the younger generation to reduce unemployment in kogi State and the country as a whole.

Some of the visiting NBTE official who spoke expressed satisfaction with the level of equipment available to be utilized by the students and urged the academic Staff to put more efforts at training and maintenance of infrastructures provided by the Nigeria Korea Fellowship Institute of Vocational Technology.
