Eid-el-Adha: FGYB Calls for Unity, Patience and Support for Tinubu

Former Governor of Kogi State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the country continues on the path of national development and economic reforms.

Bello made the remarks while addressing journalists shortly after observing the two-rakat Eid-el-Adha prayer at the Okene Eid praying ground in Okene on Wednesday

Speaking during the festive occasion, the former governor expressed gratitude to Almighty God for preserving the lives of Nigerians to witness another Eid-el-Adha celebration, describing the season as a period of sacrifice, unity, and renewed commitment to national progress.

According to him, his message to Nigerians is centered on three key areas hope, continuity in governance, and sustained peace and prosperity for the people.

Bello said President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda requires the collective support and patience of citizens, stressing that nation-building is a gradual process that demands courage, resilience, and long-term commitment from both leaders and the people.

“A great nation is not built overnight. It takes determination, sacrifice, and courageous leadership to embark on the journey of transformation. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is renewing the hope of Nigerians, and we must all come together to support him for the success of the country,” he stated.

The former governor also commended the current administration in Kogi State for what he described as continuity and consolidation of developmental strides across the state.

He urged residents to continue praying for the government and cooperate with the leadership to enable it deliver more democratic dividends.

“We are witnessing continuity and consolidation in governance across the state today. The people must continue to pray for the government, cooperate with the leadership, and provide the enabling environment for greater development,” Bello added.

The Eid-el-Adha celebration in Okene attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, party supporters, and residents who gathered to observe the prayers and celebrate the Islamic festival.
