The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has urged Nigerians to embrace compassion, forgiveness, and unity as Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
In a message to felicitate with Muslim faithful, he congratulated them on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, describing it as a period of sacrifice and spiritual renewal.
The statement, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, highlighted the importance of the values associated with the celebration.
Akpabio noted that Eid-el-Fitr embodies compassion, forgiveness, and unity, urging Nigerians to uphold these virtues in their daily lives.
He called on citizens to sustain acts of kindness, generosity, and support for the less privileged beyond the Ramadan period.
The Senate President also expressed hope that the lessons of Ramadan would inspire greater understanding and peaceful coexistence across the country.
He extended his goodwill to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Muslims, wishing them a peaceful and joyous celebration.
