The new National President Of Ibaji Development Association, Mr. Ekwoba Marthias has urged communities in the area to always give prompt report on sensitive security matters to appropriate quarters.
Mr Ekwoba also enjoined them to avoid puting laws into their hands in the face of any provocation.
The new President of IDA gave the advice in his acceptance speech after his swearing in as the new National President of the association.
He praised the Ejule people for handling the Fulani herders and farmers crisis in the area recently with maturity.
Mr Ekwoba thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his prompt action in maintaining peace in the area and commended the Governor, for making KOSOPADEC a reality as well as providing opportunity for Ibaji sons and daughters to be appointed into positions in the commission.
He appealed to the chairman of the Local Government to provide mobility for officials of the association to enable them carry out their duties effectively.
The out gone national presidentnof the association, Mr Onuh Gowin who urged the new officials to sustain the legacy of the association and improve on the areas that needed urgent attention, said their emergence is the true reflection of the people of Ibaji Local Government Area.
He emphasized the need to maintain the relative peace in the area and appealed to all relevant stakeholders to support the present administration in the state under the leadership of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Those elected and sworn from the three districts are: in Unale District, Elder Oguche Monday Abraham was elected Vice President 1 from Unale Ward, Ejule Ward Elder Ojatta Daniel, National Secretary; Analo Ward: Barrister Edime Sunday, Legal Adviser and from Akpanyo Ward: Deacon Onalo Josiah, Auditor.
Others are from Onyedega District, Mr Monday Omachonu Treasurer from Iyañó Ward, Aya Ward, Mr Benjamin Ebi, Vice President II, Onyedega Ward, Mr Godwin Uyonwu, P.R.O II and from Onyedega Ward, Mr. Onate Samuel, Assistant Secretary
Similarly from Ujeh District, Mr. Ekwoba Marthias from Ujeh Ward was elected President and from Odeke Ward: Elder Egwemi Daniel was elected Financial Secretary, Ojila Ward Julius Orji, P.R.O. I and Mr. Omachefu Boniface Amaje also from Ojila ward was elected Organizing Secretary.
