The massive defection of prominent political party leaders in Kogi State into the All Progressives Congress, APC has been attributed to the positive and quality leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Aridaojo Monday Anyebe stated this in Lokoja while speaking to Newsmen at the Muhammad Buhari civic center during the defection ceremony which include leaders of opposition political parties such as PDP, SDP, ADC, AC and others led by formal Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Ichala Wada.
Hon Aridaojo Monday Anyebe while leading the people of Olamaboro Local Government at the defection, said with the coming of the former Governor, Captain Idris Wada and former Deputy Governorship candidate of Social Democratic party, SDP, Sam Abenemi and others, there was no more opposition parties in Kogi State, particularly when considering the
track record of the current administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Commissioner who was also speaking on behalf of Kogi State Youths, noted that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has performed well in human welfare and infrastructural development across the state.
He said the detection of thousands of people from Kogi East, West and Central Senatorial District showed that APC as a party has come to stay strongly than before in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Hon Aridaojo Monday Anyebe said as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has promoted Youth and Sports in Kogi State, saying what they needed from the people of the state is continued support to the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for more dividends of democracy.
According to him, the decision of the former Governor, Captain Idris Ichala Wada is seen as a wise One and Congratulated him for taking the bold step.
The Youth and Sports Commissioner called on the people of the state to continue to support and pray for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for good health and wisdom to enable him lead Kogi State to enviable height.
He equally enjoined Youths and women in the state to come together and work collectively with the Governor for more inclusiveness in the administration.
“Let me at this point thank APC stakeholders from Olamaboro, the Youths, women, religious bodies and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC for coming out massively at this decamping ceremony,it shows that the APC is working, it indicates that our able Governor is performing and more so, that Mr President is equally working”, he stated.
