The Chairman of Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, Mr.Mamman Nda Eri has urged eligible voters in the state to take ongoing Voter’s Registration exercise seriously.

Mr Mamman Nda Eri made the call at the Professor Mahmud Yakubu hall at the INEC state secretariat in Lokoja while monitoring ongoing Continuous Voters Registration exercise.

The KOSIEC Chairman who is also the National chairman of the Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON) said the voters registration is the power of the electorate to chose leaders of their choice and advised others who have not registered to make sure that they participate actively in the exercise.

“Fellow citizens of Kogi State, and indeed Nigerians, your vote is your voice, and your voice must be heard. The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise is ongoing, and this is your opportunity to be part of the democratic process.

If you are 18 years and above, or you have recently changed your residence, or you have not yet registered, this is the time to take action. Do not wait until it is too late. Visit the nearest registration centre today to register, update, or transfer your voter information.

Every single registration counts. A credible electoral process begins with a credible voters’ register. Your participation strengthens democracy, secures your future, and build a better Kogi State.

Remember, democracy works best when every eligible citizen takes part.

This message is brought to you by Mamman Nda Eri, Chairman, Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) and National Chairman, Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON).” Nda Eri stated.

He said he was in the Secretariat as part of synergy between the National Independent Electoral Commission and Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission to ensure free, credible and fair election.
