Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Doctor Philip Omeiza Salawu, has commended the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje for the all-round pace-setting in the Ebira traditional institution
Doctor Salawu gave the commendation when he received the traditional ruler at his residence in Asokoro, Abuja.
He explained that his zeal to contest for the Ohinoyi throne was to correct the underground monarch’s intent of some individuals.
The former Deputy Governor spoke about efforts to alter the edict three of the Ohinoyi Ascension settings, which he resisted and his efforts in the establishment of the Ohi stool.
He reaffirmed his support to the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, stressing that the rightful shape to ascension of the Ohinoyi stool has been taken.
His Royal Majesty, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Doctor Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje appreciated the Former Deputy Governor for all the support he has given him since his ascension on the throne and described him as a stakeholder who has the interest of the land at heart.
He stated some instances that have ignited him in correcting some unattended to issues bordering the kingdom, which ranges from full Ohinoyi Ebira regalia, Ebira Native cloth, and several others, saying it is time to strengthen the history of Ebiraland.
The Ohinoyi appealed to Doctor Philip Salawu to maintain a close bond with the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as they both have a common philosophy for the prosperity of the Ebira kingdom.
He prayed for continuous peace in Ebiraland, the actualization of the collective positive dreams, and elevation of the Former Deputy Governor.
