The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka is to sponsor fifty children to the Suleja Academy also known as the Gifted School, Suleja.
Comrade Edoka made the commitment in his office at the Government House, Lokoja while receiving officials of the National Examinations Council, NECO, on a sensitization visit.
He said the idea of sponsoring fifty children into the Academy was borne out of the need to encourage education and assist the less privileged and talented children.
According to Comrade Edoka, society will be a better place when greater attention is given to education, emphasizing that education requires the contributions of all.
The Special Adviser commended the State Coordinator for doing a good job as seen in the enlightenment campaigns, saying he will facilitate their visits to the organized Labour for more results.
“It is good to equally walk in tandem with the policies, vision and courage of our Servant leader and boss, His Excellency, the people’s Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who is committed to effective and efficient service delivery, so giving back to the society is never out of place, this is the only way to promote educational advancement and we all must be ready to cue in to attain an egalitarian society of our dream”, Comrade Edoka stated.
Earlier, the Kogi State Coordinator of NECO, Mr Thaddius Ajebu said the visit was in continuation of their campaigns to critical stakeholders, stressing the need to encourage educational growth.
Mr Thaddius explained that NECO with its five products has been acknowledged as most credible in its examinations across African Countries, calling on the people to enroll their children in the Gifted School, Suleja.
The NECO Coordinator described Comrade Edoka as a man with passion for education and thanked him for his zeal and commitment to the collaboration.
