The people of Kogi State have been called upon to take advantage of channeling their complaints through the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) for adequate attention.
Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Princess Nana-Hauwa Yusuff made the call when members of the Commission led by its Federal Commissioner, Deinde Abolarin paid her a visit in her office.
Public Complaints Commission was created forty nine years ago by Retired General Yakubu Gowon to address issues as well as prevent same from escalation.
Also known as Ombudsman, the Commission is expected to receive complaints across all classes of persons as well as organizations at no cost whatsoever.
Princess Nana-Hauwa who was elated with the visit expressed the readiness of the Broadcast House to partner with the PCC.
According to her, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation as part of its corporate social responsibility is to enlighten the public, hence the partnership with PCC becomes imperative.
Earlier, the Federal Commissioner of PCC in Kogi State, Deinde Abolarin said the commission’s mandate is to receive complaints from the public irrespective of the class they belong.
While appreciating the Director General for her transformational drive since she assumed duty, the Federal Commissioner called for synergy with the Corporation to enlighten the public about the activities of the Public Complaints Commission.
