KSBC To Begin 24hours Uninterrupted Broadcast In Few Weeks

Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation will soon commence twenty four hours uninterrupted transmission.

Director-General of the Corporation, Hajiya Nana-Hauwa Yusuff made the revelation to House Committee on Information and Strategy in Lokoja.

Hajiya Nana-Hauwa who made this known at the 2025 budget defence of the Ministry of Information and Communication which houses the Corporation said the successes recorded so far was due to the dogged support of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

According to her, funds for the purchase of the Studio Transmission Link (STL) which will allow for a longer period of transmission has been approved by Governor Ododo with installation currently ongoing.

She commended Governor Ododo for his commitment towards the revitalization of the State Broadcast House through several interventions, pointing out that these gestures have motivated staff to perform optimally.

However, the Director General appealed for a total renovation of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation Headquarters situated in Lokoja, saying the facelift is long overdue after several years of operation.

She equally appealed that the State Broadcasting Corporation be exempted from the Treasury Single Account (TSA) to enable the Corporation take care of some exigencies confronting it as well as improve its service to the people.
