KOGI Head Of Service Tasks Civil Servants On Requisite Knowledge For A Better Civil Service

Civil Servants have been urged to improve their knowledge to add value to themselves for a better input in the state civil service.

Head of Civil Service, Mr Elijah Evinemi gave the advice during the opening ceremony of the In- House training for Administrative and executive officers of the office of Head of service, held at the secretariat conference hall, Lokoja

Mr Evinemi, said the training is in line with the Civil Service reform of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for an improved performance of civil servants in the state, which can only be achieved through training.

He emphasized that the training was to get the best out of the staff, noting that the society is becoming more digitalize than it used to be and as such they need to equip themselves to meet up with the changes.

According to him there is need to invest in human resource of every organisation for a better input from the staff, explaining that His office had to send some of the staff to Administrative College, Badagary and other places to achieve this goal.

Mr Evinemi appreciated the State Governor, for giving the civil servants opportunity to thrive and encourage the staff to make use of the opportunity in order to add positively to the system.

In her opening remarks, the permanent secretary Establishment and training Mr Elizabeth Oloruntoba who was represented by the Deputy Director of the department, said the training is to help the civil servants grow in their various schedule.

In their separate remarks, the permanent secretary Local Government service Commission, Elder Sunday  and Director of Establishment, Mrs Onoja, in their various lectures, urged the participants to be attentive as the topics to be treated are important for their input in the state civil service.
