Gov Ododo assures of Free, Fair and Credible Local Government Election in Kogi

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on Saturday cast his vote at his polling unit in Upogoro Okene Local Government Area .

Governor Ododo arrived at the poling unit, 001, Upogoro/Odenku ward 3 and cast his vote at exactly 11: 22am, accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Ali Bello, Accountant General Hajia Habitat Tijani and the state Commissioner for Health Abdulaziz Adeiza.

Earlier the electorate and Security agents were seen as early as Eight O’clock waiting for the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission Officers to arrive with the electoral materials.

Speaking on the Local Government election process, Governor Ododo said the election is going on peacefully and orderly across the State.

He commended the electorate for coming out enmasse to exercise their franchise saying his administration is committed at ensuring a free, fair and credible election.

The governor appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for laying the templates for a credible election in Nigeria and the involvement of youths in governance.

The returning officer For Upogoro/Odenku ward 3, Abdusalam Usman said voting commerce at 9 O’clock saying there is no hitches concerning the process as Electoral materials are intact.

He added that security agents were on ground as early as Eight o clock to ensure peace and orderliness at the polling unit.
