Kogi State Local Government Service Commission Commences Promotion Screening For Workers

Kogi State Local Government Service Commission has commenced promotion screening for workers at the third tier of government.

Speaking while monitoring the exercise at the Lokoja Local Government Secretariat, Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Adams Adabenege said the exercise was in compliance with the directive by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo that all outstanding promotions of the Local Government Staff should be implemented before the end of this month.

He called on Local Government Staff to be committed to their duty to compliment the efforts of the Government.

State Deputy President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Comrade Bola Ibrahim expressed satisfaction with the promotion exercise across the three senatorial districts.

Comrade Ibrahim expressed appreciation to the Governor for the approval of the promotion and the approval of the Seventy two thousand, five hundred naira minimum wage for workers.

He assured the Governor of workers’ commitment to the implementation of government policies and programmes.

Similarly, the head of Administration, Lokoja Local Government, Mr. Maliu Musa thanked Governor Ododo for his commitment to workers welfare, describing him as the people’s choice.

A staff of the Local Government, Hajiya Salihu Fatima expressed satisfaction with the promotion exercise, saying it is a dream come true.
