The Alaga of Ijumu Oke, Oba Michael Kolajo has appealed to the Federal and Kogi State Governments to declare a State of Emergency on roads across the District.
Oba Kolajo told Newsmen in an interview that the State of the road is currently deplorable and has been used by men of the underworld to perpetrate their nefarious activities.
The Ijumu Oke Paramount Ruler said he has confidence in the leadership quality of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in giving attention to the State of the Road.
The Traditional Ruler commended the Governor for laying a good foundation of his administration on a good note of welfarism for workers and well as provision of good governance.
He added that his victory at the Apex Court which affirmed the triumph of the last November eleventh Gubernatorial Election was well deserved and an opportunity to deliver his plans for the people.
Oba Kolajo prayed for the Governor and his Cabinet to succeed in their quest to develop the State and make it an enviable State in the country.
