The Bethsaida twenty twenty four festival of solution has ended with a call on Christians to live sacrificial lives.
Speaking at a special service to mark the end of the five-day programme at Anyigba, General Overseer of the Church, Reverend Emmanuel Okai said whatever Christians pursue should reflect christ.
Reverend Okai noted that the charge was important as other things could be corrected, but that missing heaven cannot be corrected.
He stressed that God is not moved by the signs and wonders in the Church, rather, the work of God can provoke him.
According to the clergy, nothing is too hard for God, urging the congregation to
protect and preserve his or her salvation.
Reverend Okai maintained that through diligence in the work of God, Christians will overcome.
‘If you are somebody who has made up your mind to sacrifice, then you are ready to provoke God, Solomon was an example , Jesus himself made him self a source of sacrifice for the sake of mankind, using himself as a sacrificial lamb, Sacrificing is unto God’s glory and not unto any man”, he stated.
The General Overseer urged the newly ordained Deacons and Deaconesses in the Church to allow themselves to be used by God, adding that God is a rewarder of every good works.
In his remark, the host Minister, Reverend Fred Abuka said the theme of the conference “He sets the captives free” was apt considering the challenges facing the nation.
Reverend Abuka admonished the participants at the conference to belief in the power of Christ in all circumstances, assuring that there are better days ahead.
Highlight of the special service was the ordination of deacons and deaconesses, healing, deliverance as well as cutting of twelve year anniversary cake of the Bethsaida Church.
