Mrs Acharu Okpanachi has been sworn in as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism with a Charge to be committed to duty.
The State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo gave the charge while performing the swearing -in during the executive council meeting at the Government House Lokoja.
Briefing Newsmen after the meeting the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo said Council also approved the engagement of Kinetic Innovation Limited as the Consultant to Kogi State Government on the development of the state electricity regulatory Commission .
He noted that very soon the commission will generate power to enhance industrialization in the state.
Council also approved strategies for intelligence gathering in the state to keep the state safe and urged the people not to hesitate in alerting security agents in case of any security breach.
According to the Commissioner modality are being put in place to reduce the cost of governance in order to invest in security.
He noted that due process will be followed in the appointment of Senior Special Assistants which will cut across wards in the state.
