Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Taufiq Isah says he has contributed immensely to the overall development of the local government while in office.

Mr. Taufiq while rolling out his achievement as the Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area said he has achieved many feats in Security and Infrastructure.

He said his administration rehabilitated Maternity and Primary Health Care Center, Ayegunle Gbede, established Zango cattle market with abattoirs in Iyara to boost the revenue base and create employment to the people of the Local Government.

According to the Chairman, he also provided and installed three hundred KVA electricity transformers to Ayegunle Gbede, Ogidi, Iyara, Ayeh Gbede communities among others.

Mr. Taufiq said Executive Council Hall, Ijumu Local Government was rehabilitated while re-painting Ijumu Local Government Council, stressing that he also drilled Borehole and overhead tank in Zango cattle market, Iyara.

According to him, other achievements include, yearly grading of roads in the communities of the Local Government, re-roofing of Demonstration primary school, Odokoro Gbede, re-connecting of PHCN light in the Local Government Council which was dropped for years.

He added that the abandoned Generator in Ijumu Local Government Council was also repaired by his administration while ensuring reimbursement of the Local Government Grader, construction and rehabilitation of Trailer park in Zango cattle market, Iyara and Ayere-Ajowa road.
The Chairman said he also built perimeter fencing in Zango cattle market, Iyara, dugged well in Fulani settlement, Araromi Gbede, constructed two central mosques in Zango cattle market, Iyara and built culverts/drainages in Zango cattle market, Iyara and Olujumu palace road, Iyara.

The chairman said he distributed over 1000 motorcycles and over 50 vehicles to people of the area as well as donation of Public Address System to over 45 churches and mosques.
